Dr. E. Jacob Simhaee, FACOG is the first GYN doctor on Long Island who offers his patients a state-of-the-art, non-invasive, FDA-approved fractionated CO2 laser vaginal resurfacing with FemiLift to address several common concerns among aging women.

Laser vaginal tightening (also known as laser vaginal rejuvenation) offered by Dr. Simhaee is a breakthrough, revolutionary technique for tightening of the vaginal walls in vaginal looseness. FemiLift requires no surgery or downtime while still providing significant improvements to the vaginal structure by increasing collagen and elastin within vaginal wall. This advanced technology uses a small vaginal probe to deliver laser energy around the entire circumference of the vagina. This promotes increased collagen production. As result, it remodels and tightens the vagina while strengthening and supporting the urethra and bladder. Laser vaginal tightening will not only help eliminate involuntary urination, but will also increase sexual satisfaction for patients as well as their partners. Patients report feeling a restored youth after using FemiLift.

The vaginal walls contain fibers. Factors such as aging, pregnancy and/or vaginal childbirth, hormonal changes, heavy body weight, and gravity can stretch these fibers and cause the vaginal walls to lose elasticity.

The structural changes in the vagina and urethra areas, called vaginal laxity, can cause decrease in sensation, reduction in enjoyment of sexual intercourse, increased stress urinary incontinence, feeling of looseness/droopiness in vagina, feeling of pressure and/or something pulling down in the vagina, and even possible reoccurrence of vaginal infections. These symptoms can be a source of debilitating and distressing concerns which might become major issues in everyday life.  Decreased sexual pleasure can affect relationships or marriages while loose or weakened urethral walls may lead to involuntary loss of urine during activities such as laughing, coughing, sneezing, exercising and sex.

Kegel exercises are good to help support the pelvic floor to a certain degree. Unfortunately, they do not address the problem of the vaginal wall itself. Vaginal tightening with Vaginoplasty or a mid-urethral sling artificially help to support the urethra to control leakage but they involve invasive surgery with downtime and associated risks. Vaginal plasty is like facial face lift: it does not address the actual problem which is collagen and elastin loss within the epithelial tissue. These negative connotations cause many women to postpone treatment and remain self-conscious about their intimate areas.

This breakthrough technology offers women an extremely safe and effective solution to restore a youthful vagina and improve urinary stress incontinence without surgery, without anesthesia, without downtime, and without pain. Dr. Simhaee’s elite training and experience makes this non-invasive laser vaginal tightening procedure even safer.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT LASER VAGINAL TIGHTENING WITH FEMILIFT:

1)    Why chose FemiLift with Dr. E. Jacob Simhaee?

Dr. E. Jacob Simhaee is the first OB/GYN on Long Island and in Queens, NY to be licensed to perform FemiLift. He has been treating patients with FemiLift since July 2014. As a professional, caring, board certified Ob/Gyn doctor with more than 25 years of OB/Gyn experience and over a decade of facial rejuvenation experience, Dr. Simhaee understands what the process of aging does to the body. This aging process affects all areas of the body, from the face to the vagina, in the same way. He is able to apply his experiences in both OB/Gyn and cosmetic to keep you feeling your best. 2)    How is laser vaginal rejuvenation performed?

A small, cylindrical rod is gently inserted into your vagina while thermal energy targets the surrounding vaginal tissue. The thermal energy is produced through a 30watt fractionated CO2 laser to heat the superficial layers of vaginal tissue. This technology has been proven to allow your body to produce collagen and elastin proteins to make the vagina tighter and firmer. The procedure feels similar to other gynecological exams with a possible feeling of a slight tingle/warmth.

3)    How many treatments will I need?

While you may notice improvements even after one session, we recommend a series of three treatments performed 1 month apart to ensure maximum benefit. We also recommend you follow-up with 1 maintenance treatment per year for optimal and long lasting results.

4)    Who can benefit from FemiLift procedure?
If you are suffering from urinary stress incontinence, feeling that you are loose in vaginal area, not feeling the same during sex after having children, and/or notice you are not feeling your partner during sex, you should be benefitting from FemiLift procedure.  Vaginal tightening is also ideal for post-menopausal women to increase lubrication and decrease pain during sex.
