Dr. E. Jacob Simhaee, FACOG is the first GYN doctor on Long Island and Queens who offers his patients a state-of-the-art, non-invasive, fractionated CO2 laser vaginal resurfacing with FemiLift to address several common concerns among aging women.
Laser vaginal tightening (also known as laser vaginal rejuvenation) offered by Dr. Simhaee is a breakthrough, revolutionary technique for tightening of the vaginal walls. FemiLift procedure requires no medicine, no hormones, no surgery, and has no downtime while still providing significant improvements to the vaginal structure by increasing collagen and elastin within vaginal wall. This advanced technology uses a small vaginal probe to deliver laser energy around the entire circumference of the vagina. As result, it remodels and tightens the vagina while strengthening and supporting the urethra and bladder. Laser vaginal tightening will not only help eliminate involuntary urination, but will also increase sexual satisfaction for patients as well as their partners. Patients report feeling a restored youth after using FemiLift.
The vaginal walls contain fibers. Factors such as aging, pregnancy and/or vaginal childbirth, hormonal changes, heavy body weight, and gravity can stretch these fibers and cause the vaginal walls to lose elasticity.
The structural changes in the vagina and urethra areas, called vaginal laxity, can cause decrease in sensation, reduction in enjoyment of sexual intercourse, increased stress urinary incontinence, feeling of looseness/droopiness in vagina, feeling of pressure and/or something pulling down in the vagina, and even possible reoccurrence of vaginal infections. These symptoms can be a source of debilitating and distressing concerns which might become major issues in everyday life. Decreased sexual pleasure can affect relationships or marriages while loose or weakened urethral walls may lead to involuntary loss of urine during activities such as laughing, coughing, sneezing, exercising and sex.
This breakthrough technology offers women an extremely safe and effective solution to restore a youthful vagina and improve urinary stress incontinence without surgery, without anesthesia, without downtime, and without pain. Dr. Simhaee’s elite training and experience makes this non-invasive laser vaginal tightening procedure even safer.
What happens during your in-office treatment:
What can FemiLift be used to treat?
FemiLift helps women with urinary incontinence by tightening the vaginal walls. In turn, this strengthens and supports the urethra and bladder. Women who have undergone FemiLift report that they are able hold in their urine longer and prevent urinary leakage. FemiLift also decreases the amount of times women feel the need to use the restroom throughout the day and night time. After just your first FemiLift treatment, you will notice a difference in your quality of life, such as increased confidence, less embarrassment of having a urinary accident, and even running errands without having to revolve your route around the location of restrooms!
Vaginal Air Escape
Air escaping from the vagina, or flatus, is caused by vaginal looseness. Vaginal looseness can be caused by a variety of different factors ranging from excessive weight gain, excessive weight loss, pregnancy, and vaginal delivery. FemiLift increases the collagen and elastin within the vaginal wall. This remodels the vaginal walls to have more strength. Stronger vaginal walls decrease the looseness of the vagina and therefore prevent flatus, or air escaping from the vagina.
Difficulty feeling your partner
Difficulty feeling your partner during intercourse is caused by vaginal looseness.
Vaginal atrophy is a condition that primarily affects postmenopausal women, breast cancer survivors, and women who have had both of their ovaries removed. These women often experience vaginal health issues. The CO2 Fractional Laser Vaginal Therapy used in FemiLift is particularly well-suited for patients who cannot, or elect not to, receive estrogen therapy.
Fractional Laser Treatment is designed to stimulate and promote collagen regeneration in the vaginal in order to restore hydration and elasticity within the vaginal mucosa. Laser pulses and heat energy penetrate to a depth that stimulates the synthesis of new collagen in order to thicken the vaginal walls and increase moisture and lubrication. The end result is to restore the vaginal state similar to that before menopause.
A study involving 30 patients performed my Dr. Mickey Karrem, the Director of the Fellowship Program on Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the Christ Hospital in Cincinatti, Ohio was presented at the 2014 Pelvic Anatomy and Gynecologic Surgery Symposium in Las Vegas. In this study, all 30 women presented with vaginal atrophy and underwent CO2 Fractional Laser Vaginal Treatment to promote vaginal mucosal revitalization and return to premenopausal vaginal health. All 30 patients experienced positive results after just one of the three treatments. Results got more drastic with each treatment. CO2 Fractional Laser Therapy improves symptoms including but not limited to: dryness, pain, itching, painful urination, and painful intercourse. No side effects or adverse reactions were experienced.
CO2 Fractional Laser Therapy with FemiLift is the preferred method for women with vaginal atrophy because it is non-medicinal and non-hormonal. This is especially important for women who cannot or chose not to use estrogen vaginal creams.
